Navigation Senate panel approves expanded protections for court officials

The Family Law Section scored a victory Tuesday after lawmakers agreed to expand a bill that enhances criminal penalties for “tampering with, harassing, or retaliating against” court officials.
The Senate Criminal Justice Committee voted 9-0 to approve SB 1838 by Chair Jonathan Martin, a Ft. Myers attorney and former prosecutor.
