Senate moves measure asking voters to do away with the CRC

The Senate has approved a measure that would ask voters next year to abolish the Constitution Revision Commission.

The Senate voted 27-12 on March 25 to approve SJ 204 by Judiciary Chair Jeff Brandes, R-St. Petersburg. A companion, HJR 1179, by Rep. Mike Beltran, R-Valrico and an attorney, faces one more committee vote before reaching the floor.
