Navigation Senate bill provides more court-related fines and fees flexibility

With the first interim committee week ahead of Florida’s 2023 legislative session quickly approaching, members of the Florida Legislature are hard at work filing bills to move through the process.
On November 29, Sen. Tom Wright filed SB 48 regarding court-related payment plans. If passed, the measure would expand upon SB 838 (F.S. §28.246) which was passed in 2021.
