Sen. Tom Wright

The Florida Senate referred SB 48, the bill filed by Senator Tom Wright which would give Florida’s Court Clerks and Comptrollers greater flexibility regarding court-related fines and fees, to three Senate committees ahead of the 2023 legislative session.

The bill’s first stop will be the Senate Judiciary Committee which is chaired by Clay Yarborough, R-Jacksonville. From there it will move to the Appropriations Committee on Criminal and Civil Justice chaired by Sen. Jennifer Bradley, R-Fleming Island, before making its final stop with the Fiscal Policy Committee chaired by Travis Hudson, R-Palm Coast.
