Criminal Law Section members are honoring the memory of Albert J. Krieger, a South Florida defense attorney known for his withering courtroom interrogations and high-profile clients, including Gambino crime family boss John Gotti and Miami’s “cocaine cowboys.”

Krieger, a New York native and father of Miami-Dade County Judge Luise Krieger-Martin, died May 14 at the age of 96 in South Florida.

“Albert has a legacy that will last for generations,” said Criminal Law Section executive council member Neal Sonnett.
