Scheflin petition for Bar reinstatement
Bonne Zell Scheflin of Davie has applied for readmission to The Florida Bar.
The Florida Supreme Court ordered Disciplinary Revocation for Scheflin by an order dated June 11, 2020, in Supreme Court Case No. SC20-365. Disciplinary revocation is tantamount to disbarment. Scheflin filed the Petition for Disciplinary Revocation while disciplinary charges were pending. Scheflin was suspended from the practice of law by court order dated August 15, 2019, for failure to supervise an employee who misappropriated funds from Scheflin’s trust account. While suspended from the practice of law, Ms. Scheflin failed to withdraw from a case, communicated with clients, and did not provide the requested trust records to the Bar.
The Florida Board of Bar Examiners will conduct a public hearing on Scheflin’s application for readmission. All members of the Bar are invited to write to the board regarding their knowledge of this applicant, particularly in relation to her character and fitness for readmission. If you wish to be notified of the time and place of the hearing, submit a written request to Michele A. Gavagni, Executive Director at the Florida Board of Bar Examiners, 1891 Eider Court, Tallahassee 32399-1750.
