The Florida Bar Board of Governors recently discussed and granted initial approval to the six proposed spending plans for fiscal year 2025-26.

Budget Committee Co-Chairs Nikki L. Simon of Miami and Joshua T. Chilson of Clearwater presented the six required budgets, all recommended unanimously by the Budget Committee, for the Board of Governors’ initial approval when it recently met in Tampa.

The Bar’s operating fund, which provides for the day-to-day operations, includes $43.3 million in revenues and $48.1 million in expenses. The budget proposal includes a potential reduction of the accumulated reserves by approximately $4.8 million if all budgeted activities are realized.
