President Roland Sanchez-Medina, Jr., discusses stress, mental health, and the value of Bar involvement
Roland Sanchez-Medina, Jr.: ‘What helps is confiding in colleagues and being part of a bar association. We do care at the Bar. It’s not just about the work; it’s the relationships.’
“It doesn’t matter where in life you are, all attorneys suffer from the same things — the workload, the constant juggling of responsibilities, and the pressures to provide for their families,” says Florida Bar President Roland Sanchez-Medina, Jr. “We all have similar problems, whether you’re in Coral Gables, Orlando, or Tallahassee.”
In a recent interview with the News, Sanchez-Medina spoke candidly about the inherent stresses lawyers face in their day-to-day lives and the critical role of the Bar and local voluntary bar associations in addressing those challenges.
