The Young Lawyers Section of the Orange County Bar Association held part one of its Fifth Annual Wills for Heroes event in June.

This year, 10 Young Lawyers Section attorneys volunteered to virtually prepare free wills for 27 teachers in the Orange County public schools system as a gesture of gratitude for all teachers do for the Central Florida community, particularly during the pandemic.

“The Wills for Heroes project is a cornerstone of the Young Lawyers Section’s multiple charitable endeavors,” said Michael Barber, president of the YLS. “While we typically invite first responders and military to participate, this year we wanted to specifically thank our community’s teachers who overcame many challenges related to COVID-19,”
