NSU Trial Association hosts Eighth Annual Trial Advocacy Summer Institute
Nova Southeastern University Trial Association’s Trial Advocacy Summer Institute helps students develop and polish their advocacy and trial skills under the guidance of members of the legal community.
The Nova Southeastern University Trial Association recently hosted its Eighth Annual Trial Advocacy Summer Institute, a week-long program of immersive workshops culminating in a mock trial.
The program is designed to help students develop and polish their advocacy and trial skills under the guidance of members of the legal community, including judges. Throughout the week, students attended workshops to learn techniques and tips for crafting, arguing, and presenting the components of an entire case. An opening statement, closing argument, direct examination, and cross examination were demonstrated by NSU alumni trial attorneys and judges. The upperclassmen also provided feedback and participated in demonstrations throughout the week.
