Consumer attorneys are the lawyers Floridians often turn to when they are in crisis, facing foreclosing or evictions, trying to restore their credit, or dealing with deceptive and unfair business practices.

The Florida Bar’s Consumer Protection Law Committee wants to honor a deserving attorney for not only helping consumers but also educating peers about the practice of consumer law. This Consumer Protection Lawyer of the Year Award recognizes a legal services, public interest, an academic, or private attorney whose exceptional contributions to consumer law have strengthened and affirmed the rights of consumers in Florida.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2022 Consumer Protection Lawyer of the Year Award. The nomination form is available on the committee’s page on The Florida Bar website. Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. on March 18. Questions: Carol Sullivan at csullivan@floridabar.org.
