Florida court clerks are warning about the reemergence of a telephone scam tied to fake claims of missed jury duty.

A spokesperson for Collier County Clerk of Court & Comptroller Crystal Kinzel told a local news outlet August 15 that at least one constituent reported being targeted.

“It’s very important,” spokesperson Lisa Kasparian told the Naples Daily News. “The minute you hear that this is happening within Florida, you want to make sure that you get the message out to the community…”
