Middle District of Florida needs a magistrate judge in Orlando
The Middle District of Florida will appoint a full-time magistrate judge for a term beginning August 1, 2026.
The annual salary is $227,608. The term of office is eight years. Subject to final authorization by the Judicial Conference of the United States, the magistrate judge’s residence and duty station will be in the Orlando Division.
The Middle District utilizes magistrate judges to the maximum extent permissible under 28 U.S.C. §636. The minimum qualifications for appointment as a magistrate judge are established in §631(b) and in Chapter 1 of the Regulations of the Judicial Conference establishing standards and procedures for the appointment of United States magistrate judges.
