The Florida Bar Tax Section Nominating Committee has nominated Michael J. Wilson of Sarasota to serve as the 2025–2026 chair-elect.
Wilson is a partner with Williams Parker and is president of the firm, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2025. As a business and tax lawyer for more than 20 years, Wilson advises clients on business and tax planning and structuring matters. He negotiates business and corporate transactions and serves as outside general counsel to businesses of varying sizes in different industries. He is Florida Bar board certified in Tax Law and handles federal, state, and international tax planning and controversy matters. He represents clients during the tax audit process before the Internal Revenue Service and the Florida Department of Revenue. He also is a Florida-licensed Certified Public Accountant.
