Miami’s Roland Sanchez-Medina, Jr., is on deck
Roland Sanchez-Medina, Jr., was sworn in as president-elect of The Florida Bar June 23 in Boca Raton. “One of his best talents, and this transcends everything Roland does, is releasing the tension in the room and making everyone feel comfortable,” fellow Board of Governors member Jorge Piedra said in introducing his friend. That rare talent makes Sanchez-Medina a formidable lawyer, and a consummate “deal maker,” Piedra said. “He disarms his opposing counsel and the other parties, making them his friends, and forcing them to want to make a deal with him. This is a natural talent that cannot be copied. Roland will be an incredible president-elect, and then an incredible president of The Florida Bar.”
President-elect Roland Sanchez-Medina, Jr., is a “top-notch” tax lawyer who masks a keen intellect with self-deprecating humor and a magnetic charm, says a colleague who knows him best.
Florida Bar Board of Governors member Jorge Piedra paid tribute to his friend of 30 years during the 2023 Annual Convention’s June 23 General Assembly.
