Miami-Dade Bar to host 2025 Awards Luncheon honoring legal leaders
The Miami-Dade Bar will honor five trailblazers in the legal community at its Annual Awards Luncheon on October 10, recognizing their commitment to justice, professionalism, pro bono service, and community leadership.
The event, hosted at Akerman’s Miami offices from noon to 1:30 p.m., is co-sponsored by the association’s Criminal Courts and Professionalism Committees, along with Dade Legal Aid.
The Richard C. Milstein Pro Bono Excellence Award will be presented by Dade Legal Aid to U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Laurel M. Isicoff for her lifetime dedication to pro bono work. The award was named for Milstein by the Put Something Back Pro Bono Project after Milstein, a partner at Akerman and former association president, received the Tobias Simon Pro Bono Award years ago. This year’s award honors Judge Isicoff for her “leadership, mentorship, and outstanding commitment to pro bono legal services.”
