Ransomware attacks on the Colonial Pipeline and JBS SA, the world’s largest meat supplier, are only the latest reminders that Florida lawyers need to take cybersecurity seriously.

Florida Bar member portal users will begin seeing another step to help prevent cyberattacks June 12.

“That’s when a new security measure will be implemented that requires verification when a portal user changes their email address,” said Bar CFO Marcy Jackson.
