A bipartisan bill that would make it easier for unmarried fathers to assume their parental responsibilities is awaiting the governor’s signature.
The Senate on April 27 voted 38-0 to approve HB 775 by Rep. Christopher Benjamin, D-Miami Gardens. Sen. Clay Yarborough, R-Jacksonville, sponsored the companion, SB 1146.
