Sen. Keith Perry, R-Gainesville, is sponsoring a bill that would significantly increase incentives for inmates to participate in rehabilitation programs, one of the latest in a series of criminal reform measures for the upcoming session.

Perry, who chairs the Criminal and Civil Justice Appropriations Subcommittee, filed SB 1032, “Gain Time,” February 3. Rep. Dianne Hart, D-Tampa, filed a companion measure, HB 235, January 22.
