Pursuant to Rule 3-7.10, Reginald Luster has petitioned the Supreme Court for Bar reinstatement.

Luster was suspended for 91 days effective December 20, 2020. Luster settled a personal injury case without advising the complainant, a chiropractor treating respondent’s clients, and failed to honor his lien. After a trust account audit, no violations were found but also no evidence that Luster had protected the complainant’s lien. The clients did not inform Luster to not pay the complainant and had no knowledge that the complainant was not paid.  The clients provided closing statements to the Bar which did not match the closing statements provided to the Bar by Luster. When asked about the discrepancy, Luster acknowledged his mistake and expressed remorse.  Luster subsequently paid the complainant the money owed to him.

Any persons having knowledge bearing upon Luster’s fitness or qualifications to resume the practice of law should contact James Keith Fisher, Bar Counsel, The Florida Bar, Tallahassee Branch Office, 651 East Jefferson Street, Tallahassee 32399-2300, (850) 561-5845.
