Florida Bar President Gary Lesser was the keynote speaker September 21 during a sold-out luncheon for members of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. Lesser discussed “The State of The Florida Bar.”

As of July, the Bar has 110,806 members with 91,908 eligible to practice; 14% of eligible members reside out of state; 61% of firms or legal offices have five or fewer members; 74% of Bar members are in private practice; and Bar committee leadership appointments are evenly split between men and women.

The Palm Beach County Bar Association recently celebrated its 100th Anniversary. Founded in 1922, it’s mission is to serve its members, foster professionalism, and enhance the public’s understanding and awareness of the legal system.
