Lee County Legal Aid Society to host free legal clinic for seniors
The Lee County Legal Aid Society will offer no-cost civil legal assistance to area seniors January 14 when its attorneys host the next quarterly Law at Fort Myers Beach Public Library clinic, an AARP Foundation–supported program designed to help residents still grappling with long-running post-hurricane disputes and other civil legal challenges.
While Southwest Florida dodged major consequences from the 2025 hurricane season, many residents still face storm-related issues and legal headaches from previous hurricanes, ranging from insurance disputes to contractor fraud.
“Access to legal advice can make all the difference for seniors facing complex civil issues,” said Andrew Banyai, executive director of the Lee County Legal Aid Society. “These clinics provide a safe, welcoming space where experienced attorneys volunteer their time to help residents navigate challenges like insurance disputes, contractor fraud and other post-hurricane concerns at absolutely no cost.”
