Lawmakers sign off on plan to stabilize clerk funding
Sen. Jim Boyd
The House and Senate have signed off a multi-year plan for shoring up the finances of Florida’s clerks of court — without raising filing fees.
The Senate voted 38-0 on March 4 to approve HB 397 by Rep. Chuck Clemmons, R-Jonesville. Sen. Jim Boyd, R-Bradenton, sponsored the companion, SB 552.
