Judicial branch sees gains and gaps in Gov. DeSantis’ proposed budget
The final, $117 billion budget proposal of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ two-term administration prioritizes education, transportation, the environment, and robust reserves.
The “Floridians First” plan for the fiscal year that begins July 1 would increase current spending by about $2.2 billion, money that also would meet many judicial branch priorities, with a few exceptions.
“What [this] budget does, it builds off of the success that we’ve had,” DeSantis said at a December 10 event in Central Florida. “It’s putting our people first and making sure we’re good stewards but also making sure the needs that we have are being addressed.”
