Jacksonville Area Legal Aid recently presented the Robert J. Beckham Equal Justice Award to its partners in the the Jacksonville Eviction Diversion Program: the City of Jacksonville, United Way of Northeast Florida, the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court, Duval County Clerk of Court, and The LJD Jewish Family & Community Services (JFCS).

Colleen Rodriguez, CEO of JFCS, announced that since last year 361 families have been able to remain in their homes thanks to this collaboration and that 90% of them have remained stably housed for at least six months after receiving one-time assistance through the program.
