Indian River County Bar Association lawyers took on local doctors, surgeons, and specialists in the annual Jawbones v. Sawbones softball game to raise money for the local United Way. The game, held at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex (historic Dodgertown) in Vero Beach, featured the Jawbones’ squad of scrappy lawyers, who handed the Sawbones their stethoscopes with a 14-7 victory. It was the third win a row for the lawyers. The Jawbones were down early at but rallied in the third and fourth innings and never looked back. The event was attended by more than 250 and entrance donations and corporate sponsorships raised more than $7,500 for the United Way of Indian River County. The Jawbones champs, kneeling from the left are Dane Ullian, Justin Barenborg, Patrick Grall, and Bob Nall.
