High school mock trials at St. Lucie County Courthouse in honor of Constitution Day

A first-of-its-kind collaboration among the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida (Ft. Pierce Division), the 19th Judicial Circuit of Florida, the Friends of the Rupert J. Smith Law Library, and the St. Lucie Bar Association brought 120 high school students to the St. Lucie County Courthouse for a mock trial program in honor of Constitution Day on September 17.
Constitution Day commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787, and honors all who were born in the United States or have become citizens through naturalization by celebrating civic engagement and the foundational principles of American government.
