The Guardianship Improvement Task Force will hold a virtual meeting on Tuesday, September 14, from noon to 2 p.m., EDT. The meeting was originally planned for September 16, but it was rescheduled to accommodate the observance of Yom Kippur.

The Guardianship Improvement Task Force includes clerks of court, legislators, judges, lawyers, guardians, and others, and members set out the goals they hope to accomplish in the next few months. The task force is sponsored and staffed by the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers and was designed to represent a broad spectrum of viewpoints, and includes representatives of the Bar’s Elder Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law sections.

At its last meeting, the task force looked at how guardians — public, professional, and family — are monitored and investigated (see story here).
