Belvin Perry

Gov. Ron DeSantis on November 11 appointed retired Ninth Circuit Chief Judge Belvin Perry, Jr., to the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) Board of Trustees.

Perry, a former personal injury attorney with Morgan & Morgan, has held leadership roles such as chairing the Trial Court Budget Commission, leading the Florida Innocence Commission, and serving as president of the National Conference of Metropolitan Courts. He earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Tuskegee University and his Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University.
