Gov. Ron DeSantis made five judicial appointments December 17.
Jeremiah Hawkes of Tallahassee to serve as judge on the Second Judicial Circuit Court
Hawkes has worked as a senior counsel for Bass, Sox, & Mercer since 2022. Previously, he served as the general counsel for the Florida Senate. He earned both his bachelor’s degree and his juris doctor from Florida State University. Hawkes fills the judicial vacancy created by the enactment of Senate Bill 2508.
