A measure that would implement the second year of a phased plan to stabilize the finances of Florida’s clerks of court, without raising filing fees, is headed to the Senate floor.

Without discussion or debate, the Senate Appropriations Committee voted 20-0 February 28 to approve nearly 30 non-controversial bills in a time-saving procedure. The “consent agenda” included SB 552 by Sen. Jim Boyd, R-Bradenton.
