Lisa Hopkins, an assistant state attorney for the Economic Crimes Unit in the 17th Circuit, is scheduled to run four races in four days, totaling 48.6 miles, to help raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.

A few months from now, thousands of running enthusiasts will descend upon the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando for the theme park’s 30th Annual Marathon Weekend January 5-8. The four-day event gives runners of every skill level the chance to compete in a 5K run, a 10K run, a half-marathon, and a full marathon.

For some, just the thought of one 5K race can be daunting. For Florida Bar member Lisa Hopkins, the entire weekend gives her the opportunity to fuel her running passion by competing in all four races.
