Mike Freed, an attorney with Gunster, ran more than 157 miles from the Florida Supreme Court in Tallahassee to the Duval County Courthouse November 16-21 as a fundraiser for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid.

During the fourth annual “Freed to Run” marathon series, Gunster’s Mike Freed completed six marathons in six days in November, helping Jacksonville Area Legal Aid raise more than $400,000 for its Northeast Florida Medical Legal Partnership.

In four years, Freed to Run has raised $1.44 million toward a planned $2.25 million endowment that will fund the partnership between JALA and area health-care institutions in perpetuity.
