Florida’s John Tomasino elected to executive committee of the National Conference of Appellate Court Clerks

John A. Tomasino, clerk of the Florida Supreme Court, was elected to the executive committee of the National Conference of Appellate Court Clerks (NCACC) during the organization’s recent annual meeting in Burlington, Vermont.
A graduate of the University of South Florida and the Florida State University School of Law, Tomasino was appointed the 21 clerk of the Florida Supreme Court in 2013. A native of Tampa, he previously served as the executive director of the Public Defender’s Office for the Second Judicial Circuit in Tallahassee. He worked in various roles within that office for over 10 years, including representing clients, overseeing technology initiatives, and serving on several statewide committees. Before his tenure at the PD’s Office, Tomasino spent three years representing death row inmates in their capital postconviction proceedings in state and federal courts.
