Florida’s Children First (FCF), an award-winning non-profit that is been a voice for at-risk children and youth in Florida, recently recognized child advocates and former foster youth at its 21st Annual Broward County Advocates for Children Awards held at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. This is one of the largest events FCF hosts each year with more than 200 people in attendance, including attorneys, community and business leaders, and child advocates.

The gathering was to celebrate the accomplishments of “passionate community leaders in Broward who support the mission of FCF by making positive changes in the lives of abused, neglected, and disadvantaged youth, those experiencing homelessness, or those in or aging out of foster care,” according to FCF. This year’s award recipients included H.O.M.E.S, Inc., Robert Lamarche, and Joshua Mincey.
