Florida Sheriffs Association has concerns with proposed remote deposition rules
Concerned about protecting the identity of undercover agents, the Florida Sheriffs Association is urging restrictions on the court system’s growing use of remote technology.
The association hopes to make its case February 8 when the Supreme Court hears oral arguments in an extensive rules petition filed by its COVID-19 Workgroup.
“We’ll have an opportunity to raise our issues with the court and hopefully, they’ll see fit to put some restrictions in place,” said Florida Sheriffs Association General Counsel Wayne Evans.
