Florida firms collaborate to help establish racial justice advocacy fund at FSU College of Law
A collaborative effort among attorneys at Nelson Mullins, Akerman, and Greenberg Traurig, has enabled Florida State University’s College of Law has established the Racial Justice Advocacy Fund, that provides financial support to students who choose to use their legal skills to fight for racial justice.
In creating the fund, Akerman Partner Bruce Wiener worked with the FSU Law in the legal formation, with input from attorneys at Nelson Mullins, Akerman, and Greenberg Traurig.
“One of the best things we can do now is invest in real change agents, our future attorneys,” said Wiener, an FSU graduate and member of the college’s Board of Visitors. “The success of this fund will require a collective effort of law firms and attorneys, with so many already stepping up to raise awareness and help further the college’s commitment to making positive change.”
