As of June 9, lawyers will have to be listed as counsel of record to get unredacted case records through the court system’s statewide e-filing Portal.

The change in the Portal’s operations brings it into conformance with the Supreme Court’s security protocols for protecting confidential case information.

Developed by the Florida Courts Technology Commission, the court previously adopted the Access Security Matrix, which controls who can see various categories of information in court files. For example, members of the public perusing electronic court files are not allowed to see information that could lead to identity theft such as Social Security numbers or bank account information.
