Navigation Florida Board of Bar Examiners salutes its staff’s dedication
The Florida Board of Bar Examiners recently honored its staff at its annual longevity and merit awards luncheon in Tallahassee. Executive Director Michele Gavagni lauded her staff for overcoming the obstacles presented by the pandemic and said even though not everything may have “happened on the applicants’ preferred time frame” the Bar Examiners were able to shift to remote working “remarkably fast” and kept the central operation going during the transition. Gavagni, who has led the organization since 2006, said she is excited about the return to in-person testing in February. “Excellence in action” is how Rachelle Munson, vice chair of the Florida Board of Bar Examiners, described the work of the examiners’ staff during the pandemic.
Gathering for the first time in three years to present longevity and merit awards at its annual staff appreciation luncheon January 13 in Tallahassee, board Chair Jennifer Martinez Mooney said making the shift to remote work and administering remote bar examinations “only worked” because the efforts of the Bar Examiners’ professional staff.
