Florida Bar rules proposals
The Board of Governors of The Florida Bar gives notice of filing with the Supreme Court of Florida, on or about February 3, 2025, a petition to amend the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar. Amendments to chapter 2 adopted by the Board of Governors are effective 50 days after the amendment and proof of the prescribed publication are filed with the Supreme Court of Florida unless a later effective date is provided for by the Board of Governors or unless otherwise ordered by the court. The court will consider objections to amendments to chapter 2 adopted by the Board of Governors that are filed with the court before the effective date of the amendment. Comments must be filed directly with the clerk of the Supreme Court of Florida, and a copy must be served on the executive director of The Florida Bar. Rule 1-11.2, Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, governs these proceedings.
