FFLA President Murray B. Silverstein, in introducing the organization’s 2023-2024 FFLA Annual Report released on July 23, said the achievements of this past year have set the stage for FFLA to contribute to a more robust legal delivery system for many years.

Silverstein said after years of stagnation and unremarkable interest rates, FFLA had significant IOTA collections in 2023-2024.

“This remarkable milestone is thanks to the hard work and prudence of several groups, including the Florida Supreme Court, The Florida Bar, and the banks participating in Florida’s IOTA program,” he said. “We have all made this commitment to improving the IOTA rule and a system by which legal aid providers are sustained, ultimately benefiting less fortunate individuals who will experience the equalizing effect of legal representation and programs geared to their needs.”
