Legal Aid Service of Collier County (LASCC), a Division of Legal Aid Service of Broward County, assisted 126 Collier County clients in need with free legal services during 2024 through funding furnished by Funding Florida Legal Aid (FFLA).

“Our program is very grateful to FFLA for the tremendous support the IOTA grant has provided which has positively impacted hundreds of clients who truly needed our free legal services last year to keep them healthy, safe, and economically stable,” said Carol O’Callaghan, regional deputy executive director of Legal Aid Service of Collier County. “This grant has been a game-changer and significantly helped our organization to maintain and expand access to justice for Collier County residents in need who turn to Legal Aid for help in times of crisis and need.”

The free legal services provided by LASCC included assistance to individuals and families facing domestic violence, eviction, child custody, and other civil legal matters of significant consequence to their lives who could not afford to hire private counsel to address their needs, according to the organization.
