Navigation Court establishes Workgroup on Judicial Security to address growing threats
The Florida Supreme Court has established a Workgroup on Judicial Security to address rising threats and violence against judges and court staff. The group will make recommendations on improving security measures, including threat detection, response, and risk reduction.
In Administrative Order SC25-17, issued on March 23, the court directed the workgroup to specifically:
Compile information on the scope and nature of security incidents experienced by judges and court staff in Florida, as well as actions Florida courts are taking to address judicial security.
