Court Communication Plan Implementation report released
“The evolving world of communications has changed many aspects of life in the 21st century, but the foundation of public trust that courts need to carry out their mission must remain as solid as it has been for more than two centuries.”
With those words five years ago, the Florida Supreme Court approved a statewide Court Communication Plan that sought to balances both of those realities. Now, a final Implementation Report of the 2016 Court Communication Plan for the Judicial Branch of Florida was released in early July detailing how the aims of the Florida Court Communications Plan have been achieved — with a special focus on the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today, the five-year-old plan seems prescient, according to its authors, as it laid the groundwork for one of the nation’s “most successful court communications efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic and has drawn the attention and praise of national court organizations.”
