A South Florida attorney’s royal ambitions — she wants to be called “queen of the lawyers” in a TV and billboard campaign — have been thwarted by the Standing Committee on Advertising.

The committee voted 7-0 to uphold a staff finding that Bar rules prevent a Miami attorney from referring to herself as “la Reina de las abogados,” in a Spanish-language TV and billboard campaign.

A narrator in another of the proposed ads urges accident victims to “llama a la Reina,” or “call the queen,” records show.
