Clerk funding stabilization bill signed by the governor

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed off a multi-year legislative plan June 20 for shoring up the finances of Florida’s clerks of court — without raising filing fees.

HB 397 by Rep. Chuck Clemons, R-Jonesville, had the unanimous back of both chambers. Sen. Jim Boyd, R-Bradenton, sponsored the companion, SB 552.
