Justice may be blind, but a trio of Tampa Bay judges made a very visual ruling. Sixth Circuit Judges David Ellis, Patricia Muscarella, Keith Meyer decide the winners of this year’s Law Day Poster Contest and Exhibition. They choose from among the several hundred posters made by Pinellas County students festooning the old Clearwater Courthouse, weighing which posters best expressed this year’s theme, “Toward a More Perfect Union: The Constitution in Time of Change,” inspired by the opening lines of the nation’s foundational document. The first place winners of the Clearwater Bar Association hosted contest include second grader Daniela Russo of Tarpon Springs Elementary; third grader Emma Szczesny of Tarpon Springs Elementary; fourth grader John Booe of Sunset Hills Elementary; and fifth grader Jenari Jones of Tarpon Springs Elementary. The winners received gift certificates and their posters will continue to decorate the courthouse’s walls for weeks. Prizes were awarded to the top three winners in grades two through five.
