Chief Justice Muñiz briefs House panel on court reforms, efficiency push
Justice Carlos Muñiz says the 39 new judges approved earlier this year will enhance civil justice reforms that are designed to speed the resolution of cases while preserving just outcomes.
Chief Justice Carlos Muñiz promised a visiting House subcommittee November 18 that the public would soon benefit from 39 new trial and appellate judges that the Legislature and Gov. Ron DeSantis approved earlier this year.
“I hope you do know that when you give us resources like that, we commit to you to do everything we can to make sure it results in demonstrably improved services for the people,” Muñiz told the House Justice Budget Subcommittee.
