The legal profession has a primary mission — public service, Chief Justice Carlos Muñiz says. “I think if we focus on those three big cultural priorities of excellence, teamwork, and service, we will continue to have a healthy and vibrant future in our state.”

The Supreme Court will continue working to resolve civil cases more quickly and efficiently, and the key to a strong judicial branch is judges and lawyers remembering their proper roles, said Chief Justice Carlos Muñiz.

Muñiz delivered the annual “State of the Judiciary Address” Thursday to hundreds of judges and lawyers who packed an Orlando ballroom for the 2024 Florida Bar Annual Convention.
