Chief Justice Canady amends health and safety protocols, requires certain in-person hearings
Chief Justice Charles Canady
Chief Justice Charles Canady amended an existing order about health and safety protocols in state courts November 4 providing for the voluntary use of face coverings in courthouses and requiring Baker and Marchman act hearings to be conducted in-person.
The changes to the temporary health and safety protocols are made to “address the most recent developments and continue to mitigate the effects of the public health emergency on the judicial branch and its participants ….”
